Extracurricular Activities in Málaga City: A Guide for Families

With school back in session, many families are looking for after-school activities to complement their child’s academic development. In Málaga city, there are a wide range of options for sports, music, dance, and more—many designed to introduce children to new interests in a fun, beginner-friendly way. For those seeking high-level or competitive training—especially in sports like tennis— this is not at all a comprehensive list, and these programs are more commonly found outside the city, across the wider Costa del Sol (a list which we’ll cover in a separate post).

It’s also worth remembering that schools themselves often offer extracurricular activities, and many neighborhoods have local soccer or basketball teams that are better found by word of mouth. What follows is a guide to some of the most accessible private activity centers in Málaga city where families can explore different interests and help kids build new skills.
